William G. Walker Memorial
WILLIAM GORDIE WALKER, 33º, MSA February 19, 1929 September 14, 2008 It is with profound regret that we announce the death of our beloved brother, Illustrious WILLIAM G. WALKER, 33 º, MSA on, September 14, 2008.He was a Sovereign Grand Inspector General, 33 º, Honorary Member of the Supreme Council, receiving the Thirty-third Degree on September 25, 2001 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was also the holder of the Meritorious Service Award receiving it in 1995 at Akron, Ohio.Illustrious Brother Walker was a retired General Motors maintenance supervisor and respected Masonic leader. He was a member of Melrose Lodge No. 671 serving as Worshipful Master in 1988 and a member of McMillan Lodge No. 141 serving as Master in 1996 & 1997. He served as Chairman of the Reception Committee for many years, a long time office volunteer and Tyler of the Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite from 1995 to the present. Visitation and funeral service for Illustrious Brother Walker will be on Friday, September 19 at 11:00 a. M. To 1:00 p. M. At the Grace United Methodist Church of Norwood at 2221 Slane Ave, Norwood Ohio. Masonic service will be conducted at this time followed by the Scottish Rite Fourteenth Degree Memorial Ring Service. A 33º Convocation of Memory will then be conducted by Illustrious Chester G. Burton, 33º. Illustrious Brother Walker is survived by his wife Maggie and son William G. Walker, Jr. | |||
