Bill Walker- hospitalized at Jewish

Brethren-

Please be aware that Bill Walker is in intensive care at Jewish Hospital.  We have no details, but it could be related to a low blood count.

Salvation Army Kettles

Brethren-

I'm pleased to announce that we have been assigned a location and day to serve as bell-ringers this year!

We will be staffing at least one kettle, maybe two, at the new Wal-Mart in Evendale on Saturday, December 1.  The Wal-Mart is located just off I-75 at the corner of Glendale-Milford and Reading Roads.  It's the same exit off I-75 as St. Rita's School for the Deaf.

One- and two-hour shifts (your choice) will begin at 10:00am and run as late as 8:00pm.

We will staff teams of 2 or more for the duration of the day.

If you are interested in helping out, please e-mail your reply right away.

Please let me know:
    - time of day you prefer
    - number of hours you're available
    - whom you'd like to be teamed with.

Thank you for considering being a part of the McMillan Lodge tradition, and for helping it grow from year to year.

If you have any questions, please e-Mail, or feel free to call 513-235-6957.

Fraternally,
Steve Douglas

P.S.  Don't forget...the Annual Communication and turkey dinner is this Wednesday at the Temple!

Cliff Weisenberger

Brethren-

It's with great difficulty that I write to notify you that Cliff died last night.

The Masonic funeral will be held this Wednesday at 7:30 at Paul Young Funeral Home on Hamilton Avenue.  For those of you who haven't been there before, it's a couple of blocks north of the Ronald Reagan (Cross County) Highway, on the left.

The funeral will be Thursday morning at 10:00am.

I don't have details on visitation, but will follow up as needed.

Please keep the Weisenbergers in your prayers.  I hope to see you all on Wednesday.

Fraternally,
Steve Douglas

Cliff Weisenberger

Brethren-

Please be aware that Cliff fell earlier this week; he's having several challenges to his health, and is currently in the ICU at University Hospital.  He's not yet able to receive visitors.

Many members of this Lodge are facing some tough challenges this week. Please keep them all, including Cliff and Sally, in your prayers.

Sick and Visitation Update

Brethren-

Please keep these families in your prayers...

I heard from Sandra Sparks this week, and Ray is home after back surgery. His recovery will be slow, but so far, so good.

I just hung up with Barry Reed, Jr., and his mother, Alice, is in Christ Hospital. She had a heart attack, and was also discovered to have an ulcer, which, I'm told, complicates recovery. Barry says she's going to have 72 challenging hours before they know how she's going to pull through.

Barry is signed up as a mentor for Saturday's Grand Master's Class. Please come down to the Temple and help out as a Mentor- even for a short time- so that he can concentrate on his necessary vocations.

Best,
Steve Douglas
